As a volunteer youth sports organization, we rely on the generosity of the parents and local businesses to help us with the financial burden of running our league. Besides the registration fee, the following is a listing of our various fundraising vehicles:

1) Team Sponsorships:

Each of our teams is sponsored by a local business. In many cases it is the coaches business or a parent from that particular team. We are always looking for new sponsors. The cost to sponsor a team is $150.00. Please contact Scott Horlbogen at 294-5574 or e-mail ewghoops@cox.net

2) Winter Dinner/ Auction:

In February we hold a dinner and auction at the Quonset O Club in North Kingstown. We sell tickets which covers the cost of the meal and the evening’s entertainment. Two years ago we had the Ocean State Follies and last year we had a comedian.

During the dinner and entertainment we hold a silent and live auction. The items auctioned are donated by members of the league or people or businesses that they know. We are always looking for auction items. It can be anything form gift baskets, (alcohol always sells well……..go figure) gift certificates, game tickets, Florida Time-Shares and even a weekend retreat in Saunderstown.

3) Golf Tournament:

For the past 15 years, we have held our annual golf tournament at Exeter Country Club. Every July we get golfers and er…….not so golfers out on the course for a day of golf, fun and a few laughs.

We are always looking for golfers, sponsors and raffle items. Please plan ahead for next July.
